The Magical Unicorn Extravaganza Finale!

Hello friends! It's been almost 2 weeks since my big birthday bash and I'm SO excited to finally be able to share with you all the details. The pictures are in and I hope you love them just as much as I do! Mommy and Daddy (well mainly Mommy!) worked their unicorn booties off, and one day I know I'll appreciate their efforts!

It was hard to narrow down my favorite photos, but I did my best. I'll even go through and break down where the decorations came from, any trade secrets to putting them together, and lots of other behind the scenes fun facts.

Can't thank the lovely, Issaquah based photographer, Leilani Dong for jumping in last minute and taking all these fabulous photos! Having professional photos really sealed the deal on the whole shebang! We are so grateful to be able to have these photos as memories for years to come!

Drumroll please.....

Boom!

Are you totally in love?! I sure hope so. Mommy always suggests picking a couple areas and decorating them to the nines! If you have all your lovely decorations too far spread out then they don't make as big of an impact visually. She picked a spot in our hallway with clean walls and lots of space.

Those big ol' unicorn heads came from my favorite place to roam the aisles, Target! With a couple 3M hooks they are still holding strong! (No judgement please. Mommy hasn't had time to take down all the decorations yet.) Those pastel colored fans, trimmed in gold also came from Target. Hello, Dollar Spot! The pink and purple balloons were also a steal from Target. With a whole lotta tape, and some patience as I tried to steal them, Mommy made a little cascade of falling balloons to add some drama to the main table. The tassel garland was also made by Mommy. With a quick Pinterest tutorial, lots of pastel tissue paper, and some gold washi tape, we had the perfect tissue paper tassel garland.

LOTS of the decorations came from the fabulous Aimee of Sugar Moon Bloom. Aimee was able to curate a bunch of unicorn fun stuff based on Mommy's vision. Everything from the plates, cups, neon yellow cake stand, giant mylar balloon letters, glitter Happy Birthday banner, and confetti balloons were bundled up and shipped straight to our door. You have to follow Aimee @sugarmoonbloom to see the other stylish decor she puts together for parties!

The cloth banner garland made by Vittoria's Collection was initially bought to decorate my high chair. Mommy thought it was too beautiful and wanted to feature it more. So over the fireplace it went!  The giant unicorn balloons and "Ava James' glitter banner also came from Sugar Moon Bloom. The mantle was the perfect place to feature my One Year photos taken by the AWESOME Michelle of May Lily Photo. She really made me feel like a unicorn princess! The sweet paper unicorns were lovingly handmade by my great Auntie Sandi. We'll get a closeup of them later!

We thought my birthday party was a great place to feature all my unicorn friends! All of these unicorn lovelies have been gifts from family and friends and since the party I've added a bunch more unicorn friends to my crew. Shocking I know!

This beautiful, hand lettered, birth stat print was made for me by my super talented friend, Kelly Patrice. It was too beautiful not to be displayed at my birthday party! Check out more of her GORGEOUS work at KellyPatrice.com. She's a super star with a heart of gold!

The Tuesday before the party Mommy thought it would be a good idea to paint the wall with chalkboard paint so she could write on it. It was the perfect place to display all my monthly photos and fun facts. I can't wait till I'm allowed to draw on it myself!

With a roll of butcher paper, some simple homemade flower arrangements, fancy plates, and lots of confetti a table scape was born. The gold scalloped plates and confetti where from Sugar Moon Bloom. The teal plates and yellow napkins were from IKEA, and the gold cutlery from Target. Shout out to Grandma Kimmy for setting it up!

More confetti, sequins, and unicorn goodness! You know Amazon is a GREAT place to buy sequin table cloths and pillow cases? They are a steal!

Inspirational, unicorn art print designed by my Mommy, Kitty Meow. It didn't actually go on the floor, but I thought this was a beautiful shot!

Now for some of my favorite stuff... the desserts! All the sugary treats were made by an awesome local baker, Candice of Kiddabella. Not only did the desserts look good, but they tasted good too!

A party isn't complete without favors, right!? Mommy made some unicorn poop soaps for everyone to take home. The unicorn poop swirls on the top of the bigger bar of soap where made by Empathetic Elephant and oh so cute! Favor sign and favor tags, a Kitty Meow original.

Can't forget the invitation! Mommy will never pass up the opportunity to have her invitations professionally photographed.

A lot of the focus has been on decorations and details, but it's REALLY all about family. Grandpa John and Grandma Kimmy were able to fly out for my big birthday bash, and I was so grateful. I know all my far away friends and family were there in spirit, but it was really special to have them there.

Oh hey! It's Mommy and Daddy!

My giant pink tutu is covering it, but Grandma Kimmy came dressed for the part in a unicorn shirt and unicorn necklace. She's just the sweetest!

I love you Grandpa!

And that's a wrap folks! I have a big fat lip because I'm sad that my "celebration of me" has come to an end. It was truly and experience for the whole family, and I'm so glad you let me share it with all of you! Mommy says next year we are going to go on a vacation instead. We'll see!

Till the next adventure, friends!
